Little Pea-Wee

Even though Phoebe's too young for Trick-or-Treating, she still wanted to dress up. So, we thought, because she's our little PeeWee and our little Sweet Pea, and Phoebe starts with "P"...she would be a green pea. Happy Halloween and Happy Reformation Day! (Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the doors of the Castle church in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31, 1517.)

Put Me In, Coach

Phoebe is all set to see who will win the World Series. She's pictured here with her Louisville Slugger, ready to slobber on any ball that comes her way. Go Reds!

World's Cutest Hiker

Phoebe went on her first hike yesterday! Daddy and Mommy went with Auntie Karen and Uncle TJ to the Natural Bridge State Park in Slade, KY to see where they got engaged and to enjoy the beauty of Fall. It was great to get out in the fresh air and make some memories while taking in the scenes around us. We walked on the top of the 78 feet long, 65 feet high, 12 feet thick, and 20 feet wide sandstone bridge and took some pictures. We also ate at the famous Miguel's Pizza, and Greg even let me choose the toppings...which ended up being artichokes, spinach, salami and mushrooms. I knew I married a brave man.

The Halfie

Greg ran a half marathon on Saturday! Nicknamed the "Halfie" by my Uncle Drew when Greg and I ran it 6 years ago, this is the event that my Dad has run many time as a marathoner. So, Greg had a great coach for the race, including strategy and pre- and post- race nutrition and therapy (including a dip in their pool!). Greg did great! Phoebe and Mommy are so proud.

Phoebe got to meet her Great-Aunt Margie this weekend for the first time, which was very special. Margie worked the race as well, since she is also a runner, who just finished her 2nd marathon, which was dedicated to her late husband, Drew.

Phoebe also saw her cousin Erin for the first time in a long while, and was simply captivated!

Mimi helped us out by taking some family pictures for our Christmas card, so here is a sneak peek.

Much love to all! It's chilly in Louisville these days, but still pleasant.

New Skills

Here is Phoebe showing one of her many new skills. She picks up a toy that is laying on her belly and puts it in her mouth. She is also sucking on her toes, which is pretty amazing to watch. She got her 4 month shots on Tuesday, so she's been a little cranky this week, but that's given Mommy more reason to hold her and rock her.

Princess Yasemin, Purdue and One Pretty Baby

This past weekend Phoebe and Mommy went up north to visit Aunt Wendy and Uncel Yucel to attend Yasemin's 5th birthday princess party. Since she and Uncle Greg had so much fun with Mr. Potato Head when she came to visit, she now has her own Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head couple. Phoebe had lots of fun being around other kids.

The next day Phoebe got to spend time with Mimi and Great-Grandma Vi while Mommy and Deeda went to see Purdue get beat by Penn State with April and Kevin. Beautiful day, great company, bad score.

On Sunday Phoebe got some more lovin' from her Great-Aunts Jenell and Dawn, Great-Uncle Darry and cousins Alex and Jenna, who can't get enough of her. She is one pretty little girl! She's starting to stand up more, and hold her hands together.

Now we are back to a normal routine at home: eating, playing, dancing, reading books, singing, sleeping...repeat x 4. It's a very good life.
