We'd like to introduce you to William Gregory Savage! Our son was born on August 1st, at 10:32 p.m. Here's the story: I was due on July 29th, and was scheduled to be induced on the 2nd if he did not come earlier, but after a non-stress test showed a slight concern about about William's heartrate on the 1st, the doctor decided to induce labor that day. So, while I was admitted, Greg called everyone, put the plan in motion for the girls to spend time with our pastor's family, and then brought our suitcases to the hospital. The induction began at 4:25 p.m., William's heartrate looked fine the whole time, and my doctor was called at around 9:30 to perform the delivery. About 5 pushes later, we were holding our baby boy. He weighed 10 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 22 inches long, and has redish-brown hair. It has become a tradition with my parents and Greg's parents to all guess ahead of time how big the baby will be. Needless to say, no one was even within a pound of our little guy's actual weight! It was quite a shock when they put him the scale. Click on the girls' names for their birth stories:

Thirteen days later, William is doing great. We are so thankful to have a healthy baby. Phoebe and Joanna love to give him kisses, and are starting to realize that he is here to stay, which requires patience on their part. We are thankful to have a Father in Heaven, to whom, because of Jesus, we can go with confidence and face whatever fears we had during the pregnancy and delivery, as well as the challenges of being parents of three little ones. He is good beyond measure.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-- yet was without sin.
