As of 11:18 PM on June 12, 2008, the Savage tribe joyfully increased from two to three! Praise the Lord for his gracious gift of precious Phoebe Grace Savage. At the time of birth, she weighed 7 lbs 13 oz (see below) and was 19.5" long. At the time of writting, Val is sleeping, Phoebe is receiving her first bath, and the uber-proud grandparents have returned to their hotel rooms to catch a few z's.
Val was nothing short of a champion through labor. We are grateful for the way the Lord sustained her energy (the birth occurred 29 hours after she was first admitted to the hospital) and cared for her through the loving hands of her doctor and all the nurses who have taken care of her and Phoebe (and continue to do so).
Once again, thanks to all for your prayers, love, and support. We look forward to introducing each of you to Phoebe and vice-versa.
