In an effort to get to know our new neighborhood better, and for an opportunity for Phoebe to get dressed up, Phoebe went trick-or-treating tonight. We have a very friendly neighorhood! Candy for the kids and dog treats for the canines! We went with Phoebe's Ausin Tara and her dog Peanut and had a great time.

My First Airplane Ride, Trip to the Beach, Sand in My Toes, Fudgesicle, Quesadilla, Time to Drink Through a Straw,...
Phoebe and Mommy just returned from a great adventure! We went with Mimi and Deeda to Sanibel, Florida for a few days. I got to fly in an airplane for the first time. They keep saying that I did better than Mommy, who got sick on one of the flights. When we went to the beach there was this scratchy stuff that would get in my toes and all over my hands, and I didn't like it. I liked going in the big water, though. Deeda would carry me and get my legs wet. We went to some restaurants where I tried a quesadilla. Yummy! After Mommy got me some shoes I liked walking on the beach, and liked to clean my shells off in my bucket. There were also lots of birds. It was so fun to spend time with Mimi and Deeda, who carried me, took me to the park, took me on walks and fed me fun food. I think Mommy liked having a break from carrying me around. Now we are back in Reynoldsburg and I am sleeping in my crib again. Thanks Mimi and Deeda for the great adventure!

A Fall Walk
Here's Phoebe enjoying the view of Blacklick Creek during our walk in Huber Park, just a ten minute walk from our house. Other news: her 5th tooth popped through today! She also is enjoying her new room...she goes in and pulls books out and "reads" them aloud to herself. Most pages start with the word "Ohh!", which Mommy didn't know until Phoebe started reading them.

Our House
Here's our house! Just imagine it without the banners, camper and for sale sign. It is still in need of some unpacking and finishing touches, but here are some "before" and "during" pictures. We could not have the house we have without the hours upon hours of volunteer labor donated by friends from church and family. Thank you so much to everyone who helped. We hope you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor in the years to come as you spend time in our home.

In Ohio...A Trip to the Farm
We've now been in Reynoldsburg, Ohio for about six weeks, and we are feeling more and more at home every day, thanks to our new loving church family. We lived with a family from church for about a month, and got possession of our house two weeks ago. Pictures of the work we, friends and family did on the house still to come...but for today, here are some pictures of our trip with Tom and Pat to Pigeon Roost Farm, located about 20 minutes east of Reynoldsburg. Pumpkins, animals, and lots of great activities for big and little kids alike. I'm not sure who had more fun...Greg or Phoebe!

A Wonderful Birthday!
Greg and Phoebe treated me to a wonderful birthday tonight. We went to Shiraz, one of my favorite places, to have falafel, one of my favorite things to eat. Then we went to the mall to pick out a wall hanging for our house in Reynoldsburg. Then a trip to the Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen for yummy ice cream. To top it all off, we went on a walk around the reservior. What a great evening!

A Visit with Nonnie and Papa
I got to spend 5 days with my Nonnie and Papa this week! I don't get to come to their house as much as I would like, because they live in Mississippi, but we had lots of fun this week. Daddy and I played the piano together. We went to the splash park where I was the littlest kid. We looked at paintings of animals in Hernando. I rocked in Daddy's rocker from when he was little and on his rocking horse. I played in Nonnie and Papa's back yard and went to church and saw all their friends. Nonnie is a wonderful hostess and Papa works very hard. This week I also started saying "ball" and "mm" for "milk" and "ook" for "book". I am growing up!
