Nine Months Old!

It was as if he wanted to wait until he was exactly nine months to start pulling up! First in the pack 'n play, then in the crib, now on anything he can grab onto and stabilize, our little guy wants to stand. This months stats: 29 inches, 20 lbs., 15 ozs. He is very aware of his siblings, and on Sunday mornings in the nursery he rarely sleeps so that he can watch all that is going on. My favorite Nathan thing right now is that he likes to turn the pages of his board books, and gets frustrated when he can't open the book or turn a page. He looks so grown up doing it. He also likes to kneel on one knee like he is proposing and play with a toy. He has experienced his first Christmas and New Year's, and is now the "big cousin" to the newest addition to our extended family.

Happy first Christmas, baby brother!!
Proof that the gal behind the camera is still more interesting than Christmas presents...

Here's Will's 9 month post, with links to the girls' posts at the bottom. Nathan has had tofu, like Phoebe did, but has not spent 24 hours without me yet. He has had black beans, like Joanna had, and loves to clap as well. He is not as mobile or big as Will was at this age, but definitely as cute!!!

Merry Christmas from the Savages!!

Again, apologies for the delay, but here are the Christmas pictures of the kiddos for 2013!

Getting warmed up...
 There we go!!

The only one I got of both boys. I tried to have Will stand up and hold Nathan, but he decided to let go and poor Nathan ended up with a mouth full of dirt.

Nathan, after having been cleaned up a little...Baby's First Christmas!!

8 Months Old! (a month late)

My apologies about the delay! Nathan's eighth month of life was filled with "firsts"...first crawl, first Thanksgiving, first real snow, first Christmas tree, first zucchini. Also, thanks to some loving family members, he could have said his first word, "Emma". He also developed the skill of smiling every time he saw the camera. Here's some evidence...

Big brother Will is not so sure about this new "sharing with my brother" concept...
 Here I come!!
 So handsome!

Seven Months Old!

Nathan is seven months old! His second tooth broke through today. He's sitting up like a pro, and will fall forward pretty smoothly to get a toy he wants. He's getting closer and closer to crawling. The other night he rocked and stretched his way half-way across the family room toward the kitchen sink, where I was doing dishes. It was like he was saying "I just want to be with you, Mom!" He's still our little sweetie. Enjoy the pictures!

Six Months Old!

Our little monkey is six months old! Growing 2.5 inches in just 2 months, this is one thriving boy. He weighs close to 19 pounds and is almost 28 inches long. While he is big, he is still in the shadow of big brother, who was 3 pounds heavier at this age. Click here to see Will at six months. Will wore the outfit above in his 3 month picture. Nathan still loves to rock back and forth, is eating like a champ (avocado, cereal, green beans and sweet potatoes), and is rocking back and forth on all fours. He is getting over his first real cold, which I am thankful for, because his sweet smile and sweet noises are returning. He loves to sit in front of his toy box and play with and chew on toys. He also wins the award for getting his first tooth the earliest of all the Savage kiddos, beating Will by a couple weeks and his sisters by 6 months! He may be ready for two naps a day, which is also a record breaker for our kids. He is a great sleeper at night...11-12 hours. We love you, so, Nathan!
